The idea originated while two gamers were chatting with others over various and sundry topics related to gaming. One suggested it might be fun for gamers in different areas to send out personal post cards with mini-adventures on he back. Then, once having developed the first set of post cards, the two began creating what will soon be known as Adventure Post.
The game is a series of mini-adventures which are played out over the course of twelve weeks. In the first week, individuals will focus on Character Creation, then in weeks following, a small portion of the overall game will eventually lead to a conclusion. The first week's adventure relates to the work of Richard Garriott in the UDIC community. In this first week of game play, each player has committed a crime against humanity. As a sentence, each player must go through tough mental and physical challenges which will define the person as being their true self.
As part of the game, individuals will face lifelike dilemmas in which eight different virtuous questions will be answered. In preparing answers, it is important to be cautious. For, if not answering in a positive way, individuals may not be able to recover a mantle lost earlier in the game. In addition, the character which will play the foe will be based on the answers provided to these questions.

While the creators and inventors of the game know new games can often be challenging, there is also a shorter holiday version available on the website. For, the developers believe it is important to show interested parties what to expect once the official game is released.
The creators have used an old style dungeons and dragons map in the holiday version. While this is the case, Dark Realm Maps' illustrators will be drawing the official maps prior to the games release. Whether trying the holiday version, or waiting on the official release, gamers all over the world appear to be excited about the potential game play this new game has to offer.
The creators have also designed a welcome package which contains the 1st two post cards, Character Creation, the first mini-adventure, a custom dice bag with the game logo with four six-sided dice, a plastic pawn and any adventures which are part of the unlocked GoFundMe goals when shipped. As the GoFundMe goals go up, there will be a number of upgrades associated with the package which will either be part of the Welcome Package, or which can be purchased and shipped once the game set is complete.
